phia
Phia is a non-profit educational program that isn’t about simply hearing a lecture or watching a video. Phia brings transformative learning sessions with professionals (and essentially people) who care about seeing community members succeed in all areas of their life. I design curriculums to cover subject matters from finance to socio-emotional health. Phia is for the life learner, for the resilient, for the pursuer.

I have a background in Elementary Education where I not only taught and designed lessons, but also contributed to academic research at my university.

Brand Identity, Start-up, Film, Brand Experience

A film introducing what is phia and the vision behind the nonprofit organization. ︎︎︎

Phia, short for Sophia, is the Greek word for "Wisdom." Phia encourages their learners to be pursuers of deep knowledge and insight. ︎︎︎

This brand poster gives the pure essence of all that Phia stands for— the way they sound, speak, look, and feel. I'm hoping there is an emotional impression when they experience the summary of the brand. ︎︎︎

I design curriculum that supplements the public education system—from public speaking, health insurance, and budgeting. ︎︎︎

In our hybrid lessons, phia offers interactive feedback, meaningful engagement with self and other phia learners and promote diverse learning styles. ︎︎︎

This interface is designed to make online learning dynamic being mindful of our mental health and stamina when utilizing technology to learn and connect for long periods of time.︎︎︎

Active participation doesn't have to be daunting, but can be an experience where it is not I versus everyone. phia connect is designed as a collective participatory experience.  ︎︎︎

Phia Feelings substitutes the role of emojis, articulating the vernacular in our culture.︎︎︎

During my years in education, I had a deep passion to see students and their families thrive beyond academia—to approach education holistically. As a designer, I found phia to be the right opportunity to utilize my expertise to make knowledge for all communities. Here is a glimpse of the process book. ︎︎︎
